School gymnastics for one visit, a unit, or a whole term.

Bring students to Thunder Gymnastics in North Toowoomba or have our coaches come to you. We can plan a one-off experience, a progressive 4–10 week block, or a recurring term programme around your year level, timetable, venue and outcomes.

Choose your format

Match the programme to your school day.

Start with the outcome and timetable. We can then recommend the visit pattern, group rotations and delivery location.

01

One-off experience

A single excursion or incursion for a PE experience, activity day, reward session, transition event or something different for a year level.

02

Short skill unit

A progressive 4–6 visit block with a clear movement focus, useful when a school wants more than a taster but does not need a full term.

04

Repeat programme

Run a successful block again for another class, year level or later term. We can adjust the focus and progression rather than repeating the same lesson.

Your place or ours

Two practical ways to deliver.

Choose the option that best fits transport, facilities, group size and the skills you want students to experience.

We build a portable movement session around your hall, covered area or other suitable activity space and scale the activities to the venue.

  • Fundamental movement and body control
  • Shapes, balances, jumps and safe landings
  • Floor progressions where the venue permits
  • Partner, teamwork and movement challenges
  • One-off or multi-week delivery

Progressive learning

What a term can build.

The exact sequence depends on age, experience, venue and goals. A longer booking lets coaches deliberately revisit and extend key movement patterns.

Start

Foundations & confidence

Shapes, balance, landing positions, rolling, jumping and body control.

Build

Strength & coordination

Support shapes, locomotion, safe take-offs and landings, partner work and purposeful repetition.

Progress

Gymnastics, tumbling or FreeG

Age-appropriate progressions using the pathway that best matches the class and venue.

Consolidate

Challenge & independence

Students apply the skills with less prompting, combine movements and recognise their own progress.

Programme choices

More than one style of gymnastics.

We can build around a broad gymnastics foundation or use a more specific focus where that better suits the students.

Gymnastics foundations

Shapes, balance, rolling, jumping, landing, swinging and body control through staged progressions.

Artistic gymnastics

Apparatus-based movement, support work, strength and controlled skill progressions.

Tumbling

Floor-based rolling, hand support, cartwheel and tumbling progressions with safe technique first.

FreeG & movement

Obstacle-style movement, creative challenges, parkour-influenced movement and problem solving.

School sport

A recurring weekly programme that gives students enough repetition to improve over the term.

OSHC & vacation care

Active group sessions for outside-school-hours and vacation-care groups, planned around age and group size.

Easy to plan

Tell us five things and we can start.

You do not need a finished lesson plan before enquiring. A year level, approximate numbers, preferred dates, location and goal are enough for us to suggest a format.

  1. 1
    Students

Year level, approximate numbers and any support or accessibility considerations.

  2. 2
    Delivery

Visit Thunder, have us come to your school, or ask what would work best.

  3. 3
    Frequency

One-off, short block, whole-term programme or repeat programme.

  4. 4
    Outcome

PE unit, school sport, gymnastics, tumbling, FreeG, movement confidence or a custom focus.

  5. 5
    Timing

Preferred days, lesson windows and the term you are planning for.

Sporting Schools

Using Sporting Schools funding?

Tell us when you enquire. Gymnastics Australia and the Australian Sports Commission set separate requirements for funded programmes, including minimum programme delivery. Thunder can plan the local delivery around your school once the current funding and provider requirements are confirmed.

Plan the next term

Tell us about your students and we’ll suggest a format.

Include the year level, approximate numbers, preferred term or dates, and whether you want to visit Thunder or have us visit you.
