Competition rules

Who can enter
Current Thunder Gymnastics gymnasts and their immediate family members. Entrants under 18 need parent or guardian permission.
Entries
Each entrant may submit up to 3 designs. Each design is judged separately.
Original work
Your design must be your own original work. No copyrighted characters, copied artwork, third-party logos or generative-AI artwork.
Judging
Creativity, originality, connection to Thunder, shirt suitability and how well the design can be reproduced.
Shirt colour
Designs must work on a dark purple shirt. Thunder may resize, simplify, recolour or otherwise adapt the selected design for printing.
Closing date
11:59 pm AEST, Saturday 31 October 2026.

Prizes

1st place

A term free

One standard recreational class per week for Term 1 2027 for each immediate family member actively enrolled at the beginning of the term. Registration, competitive fees, camps, workshops, private lessons and extras are excluded.

2nd place

5 holiday camp passes

Five individual Thunder Holiday Camp full-day passes, subject to availability and not redeemable for cash.

3rd place

Bag bundle

A Thunder Gymnastics bag, socks and water bottle.

Eligibility and entries
  1. The promoter is Thunder Gymnastics, 57 Brook Street, North Toowoomba QLD 4350.
  2. The competition closes at 11:59 pm AEST on Saturday 31 October 2026.
  3. The competition is open to current Thunder Gymnastics gymnasts and their immediate family members.
  4. Entrants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  5. Each entrant may submit up to three designs.
Artwork requirements
  1. Entries may be hand drawn or created digitally.
  2. The artwork is for the back of a dark purple Thunder Gymnastics shirt and must fit within a maximum A4 / 210 × 297 mm print area.
  3. The Thunder Gymnastics logo remains on the front.
  4. The design must be the entrant's own original work and must not include copied artwork, third-party copyrighted characters, photographs, trademarks or logos without permission.
  5. Artwork generated wholly or partly using generative artificial intelligence is not eligible.
Judging and production
  1. Eligible entries will be judged by a Thunder Gymnastics judging panel.
  2. Judging criteria are creativity, originality, connection to Thunder Gymnastics, suitability for a club shirt and reproducibility.
  3. Thunder may resize, reposition, recolour, convert to one colour, simplify, alter typography or make other reasonable production changes to a selected design.
  4. The judges' decisions are final.
Copyright and use
  1. The entrant retains copyright in their original artwork.
  2. By entering, the entrant grants Thunder Gymnastics a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to reproduce, publish, display, adapt and use the design for Thunder apparel and promotion, including the website, social media and in-gym displays.
  3. No additional payment or royalty is payable for those uses.
Winners, prizes and privacy
  1. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
  2. Winners will be contacted using the details supplied with the entry.
  3. Thunder may publish a winner's first name and winning artwork. For entrants under 18, additional identifying information will only be published with parent or guardian permission.
  4. If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, Thunder may select another eligible entry.
  5. Personal information supplied with an entry will be used to administer the competition, contact entrants and award prizes.
